NEW EP “WHEN THE CITY SLEEPS”

AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER

“Only one year after their stage debut Larún presents the long awaited studio EP ‘When The City Sleeps’. With the release of two much praised music videos Larún set their own standard quite high. Also this EP was produced with a lot of passion, musical sensitivity and technical knowhow.

In close collaboration with the Band sound engineer Andrea Gobbi (Ímar, Talisk, Treacherous Orchestra) created a unique and powerful band sound. The result is a firework of energetic, celtic music wrapped in a refreshing and modern sound.” – Official press release

“Technical perfection and multifacetal voices…”

“Evervescent, fizzing with invention and deep musical understanding, their soulfulness is the glue that binds it all together.”

Brian Finnegan (Flook)

The arrangements of the tunes and songs have been worked out with meticulous care and precision. This is a first class EP and I am looking forward to seeing them live.

Alan Doherty (Aldoc, Grada, Whistle player with “Lord of the Rings”)

An outstanding recording from some of Germany’s finest musicians! This is creative, engaging and lots of fun, and the musicianship is ALWAYS top class. Really love this!

Oisín Mac Diarmada (Teada)

The interplay evident from track to track is excellent. The musical arrangements behind the songs fit perfectly with Catherine’s wonderful voice.  “The Last Polar Bear” is a lovely track; I have always felt that bringing the listener along on an emotional journey of peaks and valleys is the way to make a recording interesting. Larun’s recording has all of this and a lot more.

James Kelly

Birgit Muggenthaler-Schmack (Schandmaul)
